Hurricane Relief

With six months out of the year being dubbed “hurricane season", we feel it is imperative to work towards getting better shelters for the Haitians in our area. You can see in the images below a sampling of the living conditions we find in our neighborhood. Shelters are a must. Besides building houses for homeless or tent-dwelling Haitians, we have also addressed hurricane dangers by building sidewalks, water channels, roofs, and community shelters. When storm winds damage tents or blow them away we deliver new tents, blankets, and clothing to families as resources are available. We have a vision for creating an artisan village to provide homes and sustainable employment to families currently living in tent cities. Read more about that vision here. Also please consider sponsoring an artisan, sending materials, or offering your time to aid us in providing temporary relief until the village can be built. Thank you!
