Personal Healing Retreats

Isaiah 58:6-8 says “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter — when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear."

Often when North Americans seek personal healing their attention turns inward to soul searching, confession, and repentance. These are extremely important Biblical steps to healing, but God also instructs us to fast, pray, and serve the poor as we seek personal restoration. The Apparent Project wants to provide a place in which all of these avenues of receiving healing from God can be pursued simultaneously. People or groups seeking healing may come to our facilities in Port Au Prince, Haiti, the poorest nation in the western hemisphere, and serve the poor for a week or more while receiving daily prayer and counsel for inner healing. Our hope is to provide an inner healing ministry that reaches visiting North Americans, local Haitians, and missionaries around Haiti who need rest and restoration. As this ministry is in developmental stages now, we need trained prayer counselors and other healing professionals (nutritionists, psychologists, massage therapists, doctors, etc.) interested in serving with us on a long or short term basis to provide holistic care to individuals.
